Dogs and cats for adoption in Murcia

At the La Albatalía municipal centre (Murcia City Council’s Adoptamur programme) and at the shelters and associations in the city and the Region. Each animal on this page links to its profile on the shelter’s website, where you apply to adopt.

According to the City Council, adoption at the municipal centre is free and the animal is handed over vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and neutered. Shelters usually ask for an adoption fee: check their website.

Yes: almost all of them look for foster homes, sponsors, volunteers and donations. Always do it through each shelter’s website.

The list is updated every day with what each shelter publishes; an animal may have found a home today. Those that disappear from the shelter’s website stop appearing here.

We only show animals from shelters that publish them on a page of their own that can be read. The rest appear with a link to their website. If you run a shelter and want to be listed (or not), write to us.
